This policy explains what personal data ProperScaler collects, why, and what you can do about it. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and the Austrian Data Protection Act.

1. Who is responsible

[COMPANY LEGAL NAME]
[STREET, POSTCODE CITY], Austria
Email: [PRIVACY EMAIL]

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. Data protection questions go to the address above.

2. What we collect

When you visit this site

Our hosting provider records standard server log data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and to keep it secure.

When you contact us

Name, email address, company, and whatever you write in your message or say on a call. If you book a call, the scheduling data for that booking.

When you become a client

Contact and billing details, VAT ID, invoices, contract documents, and the performance data of the X account we operate for you.

Third parties on this site

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. If you would rather avoid this, the fonts can be self-hosted — tell us and we will. [List any analytics, pixel or chat tool you add, or delete this line.]

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

  • Delivering the site securely — legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Answering enquiries and preparing an offer — pre-contractual steps, Art. 6(1)(b).
  • Performing the contract and running your account — Art. 6(1)(b).
  • Invoicing and bookkeeping — legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c), Austrian BAO and UGB.
  • Marketing emails, analytics and non-essential cookies — consent, Art. 6(1)(a), withdrawable at any time.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Who else sees it

Only processors we need to run the business, each under a data processing agreement: our hosting provider, email provider, accounting software and payment provider, and the scheduling tool if you book a call. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Where we operate your X account, X Corp. processes that account's data under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for X's processing.

5. How long we keep it

  • Server logs: [X] days.
  • Enquiries that do not become contracts: up to 12 months.
  • Contract and billing records: 7 years, as Austrian tax law requires.
  • Consent-based marketing data: until you withdraw consent.

6. Your rights

Under Art. 15–21 GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw any consent at any time without affecting what was lawful before.

Write to [PRIVACY EMAIL]. We answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).

7. Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies and needs no consent banner in its current form. If analytics or advertising tools are added later, a consent banner will appear first and this section will be updated.
